Lakes

Tyler has a number of lakes in its immediate vicinity, including:

• Lake Palestine
• Lake Tyler
• East Lake Tyler
• Bellwood Lake
• Greenbriar Lake
• Lake Placid
• Hide-A-Way Lake

Lake Palestine reached maximum levels in July 2007, after suffering the effects of multi-year droughts in the area. The picture below, taken July 6, 2007, shows water overflowing the Lake Palestine Dam.
