Edom, Texas is just a short drive west of Tyler towards Ben Wheeler and Canton. It's a lovely small community of restaurants, art galleries and more. It is also the home to spring and fall art shows well known in all of Texas. We love to visit and have lunch at Edom, and attend the Edom Festival of the Arts.
We always enjoy a meal at The Shed Cafe, the Edom Bakery, and the Edom Market Place, and visits in the late spring to Blueberry Hill Farms. Artisans in pottery, silver jewelry, glassware, macrame, and leather crafts live in town and operate attractive shops.
Edom, the third oldest town in Van Zandt County, was first established several miles from its present site in 1849. Sometime later the town was moved to its present location.
Shown below are a few photos we shot during a trip to Edom in 2007.
