Tyler Pounds Regional Airport is a state-of-the-art regional airport opened in 2002. The airport is located only 10 minutes west of downtown Tyler on Texas Highway 64. Rental cars are available on site, as well as short-term and long-term parking.
Flights are offered in Tyler by American Airlines and Continental Airlines.

Tyler Transit is housed in the renovated Cotton Belt Railroad Depot in downtown. The Cotton Belt has played an important role in the development of Tyler over the years. It once included a railway south of Tyler through Gresham, Flint and Bullard.

Interstate Highway I-20 is a short 15 minute drive from downtown via U.S. 69 or U.S. 271. Eventually, Texas Loop 49 will connect with I-20 providing another route to this major Interstate route.
Dallas is only two hours away making shopping and attending Cowboys, Stars and Rangers games an easy source of entertainment.
The Shreveport - Bossier City area and its casinos and gaming hotels are only 90 minutes from Tyler.
